President Elect Obama has called for the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. holiday to be a day of service for Americans. This is a great idea. If you are an outdoor nut you are probably no stranger to service projects, clearing trails, picking up garbage and such. But you can’t do much of that around here in January. The Obama folks have put together a great website, www.usaservice.org, where people can search for and list service projects for 1/19/09 and beyond, but as of this morning only to projects were listed for the Spokane area. I’m looking for one. Any suggestions?
